
Police announce screening dates for Oyo constable recruitment
The Nigeria Police Force has revealed plans to begin screening for 50,000 constable applicants in Oyo State. According to the Oyo State Police Command, the process will run from Monday, March 9, 2026, to Friday, April 18, 2026. Ayanlade Olayinka, the Police Public Relations Officer, shared details about the exercise and the required documents. Femi Haruna, the Commissioner of Police, emphasized that the recruitment is free and warned candidates against fraudsters.
What happened
- Screening will take place at the Officers’ Mess, Oyo State Police Command Headquarters, Eleyele, from March 9, 2026, to April 18, 2026.
- Applicants must bring several documents, including their invitation slip, screening forms, medical fitness evidence, NIMC card, O’Level certificate, birth certificate or declaration of age, and a local government or state of origin certificate.
- Those seeking specialist roles must provide a trade test certificate and a completed guarantors’ form, with all credentials arranged in two white flat files with passport photos attached.
- All candidates are required to wear a white T-shirt, white shorts, white canvas shoes, and white stockings.
- Femi Haruna stressed that the recruitment is free, transparent, and based on merit, warning applicants not to pay anyone during the process.
