
Umar Haruna Doguwa elected as Kano APC chairman
Umar Haruna Doguwa, the immediate past Commissioner for Water Resources in Kano State, has been elected as the new chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Kano. He was chosen during the party’s state congress, where delegates from all 44 local government areas endorsed him and other consensus candidates. Doguwa succeeds Abdullahi Abbas, who served as chairman for about 10 years. The congress was supervised by officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission.
