UK commends Bayelsa for youth protection efforts and strong leadership
Bayelsa State has been praised by the British Deputy High Commissioner, Mrs Gill Lever, for its strong leadership in protecting young people and promoting good governance. During a three-day visit, Lever highlighted the positive impact of the UK-funded Brighter Futures Programme in the state. The programme supports at-risk youth with skills and mentoring to prevent involvement in crime. The visit also included meetings with key state leaders and civil society groups.
