Plateau bar owner arrested over trafficking of girls to Ghana
Three girls have been rescued after allegedly being trafficked from Plateau State to Ghana. The Plateau State Government arrested a bar owner, Mrs Yakubu, and another woman in connection with the case. Chairperson Olivia Dazyam of the State Gender and Equal Opportunities Commission said the girls were deceived and lured into prostitution. The victims, Humata Ilya, Sendy Emmanuel, and Dorathy Yakubu, have returned safely, and investigations are ongoing.
