Six people kidnapped by bandits on Benue road
At least six travellers were abducted by suspected bandits near Kula Village along the Naka–Makurdi road in Benue State. The victims were part of a group travelling from Ilorin, who had stopped overnight in Ankpa, Kogi State, due to security concerns. According to reports, the bandits intercepted their vehicle about 20 minutes from Makurdi and demanded a ransom. Omnin Torsar and DSP Udeme Edet have both commented on the incident.
What happened
