Abia shortlists over 24,000 applicants for teacher recruitment test
Abia State government has shortlisted 24,023 applicants for the next stage of its teacher recruitment exercise, aiming to hire 4,000 new teachers. Okey Kanu, the Commissioner for Information, shared this update while addressing journalists at Government House, Umuahia. The recruitment process is in its second batch, following the employment of 5,394 teachers last year. The state is also implementing education reforms and infrastructure projects across various sectors.
