Police arrest suspect for distributing fake engine oil in Nigeria
A 26-year-old man has been arrested by the Zone 2 Police Command, Onikan, Lagos, for allegedly producing and distributing adulterated engine oil across Nigeria. The command’s spokesperson, DSP Gbenga Afolayan, confirmed the arrest and said the suspect confessed to importing fake engine oil from China and distributing it in several states. The Standard Organisation of Nigeria verified that the seized products did not meet required standards. Mr Adegoke Fayoade assured the public that the police remain committed to protecting consumers and businesses.
