Government plans new strategies for women’s health in Nigeria
The Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, together with the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Women’s Health, is taking steps to improve health services for Nigerian women. Dr Adanna Steinacker shared these plans during a meeting with women leaders and NGOs in Abuja. The initiative, called RenewHER, aims to coordinate policies and close knowledge gaps around women’s health. President Bola Tinubu launched OSSAP-WH and RenewHER on September 11, 2025, to prioritize women’s health in national development.
