Six arrested in Anambra for alleged illegal revenue collection
The Anambra State Internal Revenue Service has apprehended six individuals accused of illegal revenue collection in Oye Utuh, Nnewi South. The suspects were reportedly collecting money from commercial bus, tricycle, and motorcycle operators without authorisation. According to Special Commander Nathan Obikwelu, the arrests are in line with directives from Governor Chukwuma Soludo to eliminate illegal levies. The suspects have been remanded at the Onitsha Correctional Centre.

- Six people, including Christopher Mmadu, Paul Kenechukwu, Emeka Okoli, Livinus Ezulike, Nzube Nnoluka, and Anayo Agu, were arrested for unauthorised revenue collection.

- The suspects were taken to the Onitsha Revenue Court and then remanded at the Onitsha Correctional Centre.
