Lagos–Abeokuta Expressway to be partially closed for repairs
The Lagos State Government has announced a partial closure of the Lagos–Abeokuta Expressway for repairs. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, the Commissioner for Transportation, stated that the closure will last for four weeks. The rehabilitation will be carried out in two phases, affecting both inbound and outbound lanes. Motorists are advised to follow traffic directions and cooperate with officials during this period.

- Oluwaseun Osiyemi announced that Phase One will affect Abeokuta-bound traffic from February 11 to March 4, 2026, covering U-Turn Bus Stop to Sango Tollgate.
- During Phase One, Lagos-bound motorists will have free flow of traffic, while Abeokuta-bound traffic will be diverted.
- Phase Two will affect Lagos-bound traffic from March 4 to March 11, 2026, covering Obadeyi Bus Stop to Ekoro Junction.
- Traffic will be managed in halves during both phases, with diversions and restored access as each section is completed.
