Nurses to receive higher uniform allowance from FG
The National Salaries, Wages and Income Commission has approved a significant increase in the uniform allowance for nurses under Federal Government employment. The annual allowance will rise from N20,000 to N80,000, marking a 300 per cent increment. Morakinyo-Olajide Rilwan, President of the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives, noted that the decision was made without prior consultation with the association. The memo announcing the change was signed by Ekpo Nta and addressed to Muhammad Pate, the Minister of Health and Social Welfare.
