NAPTIP launches anti-trafficking clubs in schools
Binta Bello, Director General of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, has stressed the importance of involving schoolchildren in the fight against child trafficking. Speaking through Abosede Jimoh, she highlighted a sensitisation campaign and the inauguration of the Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Persons Vanguard Club at Kobape Grammar School. The programme, in collaboration with the state government and the International Centre for Migration Policy Development, aims to reach 50 schools in the state. The initiative is funded by the government of the Netherlands and seeks to empower children with knowledge and skills to combat trafficking.
