
Several killed in suspected cult clashes across Lagos communities
Several Lagos communities have been rocked by violent clashes linked to suspected cult groups, with at least four people feared dead. Incidents were reported in areas such as Iyana-Ipaja, Aboru, Badore, Olokonla, Onipanu, and Satellite Town. Victims suffered severe injuries, and some were killed in attacks that were captured in graphic videos. Mrs Abimbola Adebisi, spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, confirmed a suspected murder in Satellite Town and said investigations are ongoing.
What happened
- At least four people are feared dead following separate cult-related clashes in Lagos communities including Iyana-Ipaja, Aboru, Badore, Olokonla, Onipanu, and Satellite Town.
- In Badore, a person identified as Chidera was reportedly killed during a confrontation involving suspected Eiye confraternity members and a rival group.
- Graphic videos showed victims with severe injuries in Iyana-Ipaja and Aboru, and a man identified as Israel was shot dead in Onipanu.
- Another man, Alabama, was found dead at Baba Adisa Bus Stop, Ibeju-Lekki, while a body was discovered at NEPA Junction in Satellite Town.
- Mrs Abimbola Adebisi confirmed the Satellite Town killing as a suspected murder and stated that the case is under investigation.
