- On Monday, January 26, 2026, police in Ekpoma arrested five suspects for vandalizing a Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited pipeline at Uhiele Community.
- An excavator allegedly used in the vandalism was recovered, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend other fleeing suspects.
- On Wednesday, January 28, 2026, a bush-combing operation in Idoha/Ewu Forest led to the arrest of eight more suspects and the recovery of five mobile phones.
- A farmer and his two wives were rescued unhurt after being abducted from their farm near Egoro Amende Community, Ekpoma.
- Items recovered at the scene included cutlasses, a solar panel, a torch, canvas, rope, palm oil, and a face cap.
