Newborn found abandoned in bag outside Anambra shop
A newborn baby was discovered alive in a bag outside a shop in Umuodu Village, Okpuno, Anambra State. Mercy Iloanya, a nurse, noticed the baby's cries and alerted others nearby. A note from the mother was found with the baby, asking for help in caring for the child. The baby was later taken to a hospital for care under the guidance of the Anambra State authorities.
