
Lagos rewards athletes with cash after Gateway Games success
Lagos State has rewarded its athletes with N36.3m for their achievements at the last National Sports Festival in Abeokuta. The payments were made following an announcement by the Lagos State Sports Commission. Team Lagos finished sixth at the Gateway Games, securing a total of 169 medals. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Director-General Lekan Fatodu emphasized the state’s commitment to athlete welfare and future sporting success.
