
Seven arrested over multimillion naira beverage theft in Ondo
The Ondo State Police Command has apprehended seven suspects linked to the theft of beverages worth ₦20.45 million from a commercial store in Ore. According to the police, the suspects include employees and alleged receivers of the stolen goods. DSP Abayomi Jimoh stated that the suspects confessed to their roles in the incident. The police commended their team and urged residents to support security efforts.
What happened
- Ogunyomi Segun reported that between 2024 and January 3, 2026, some employees conspired to steal goods from his store.
- The stolen items included soft drinks, Trophy cans, and other canned beverages valued at ₦20,450,000.
- The suspects arrested were Oyineke Joseph, Abioye Yusuf, Abdullahi Quadir, Micheal Njoku, Agu Monday, Ikuemehin Oloruntimilehin, and a driver, Ojewuyi.
