JAMB announces new UTME registration and exam dates
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has released details for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination registration and related activities. Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, the JAMB Registrar, outlined the schedule and requirements at a meeting with Commissioners for Education. The process includes specific timelines for registration, mock exams, and direct entry applications. Several rules and guidelines for candidates and registration centres were also highlighted.
What we know
- Registration for the 2025 UTME will take place between January 26 and February 28 at approved CBT centres.
- The sale of UTME application documents (ePIN) will run from January 19 to February 26.
- Mock examination selection closes on February 16, while Direct Entry application and ePIN vending will be from March 2 to April 25.
- Only candidates who will be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026, are generally eligible to apply, with underage candidates subject to a rigorous evaluation process.
- Prof. Ishaq Oloyede warned that centres not monitored from JAMB headquarters may not be paid and their registrations could be invalidated.
