Thousands of Nigerians repatriated from multiple countries
Over 13,000 stranded Nigerians have been repatriated from 10 different countries, according to recent reports. Data from the International Organisation for Migration, the National Emergency Management Agency, and the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission highlight the scale of these operations. Kimiebi Ebienfa from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ayodele Olawande, Minister of Youth Development, have both issued warnings to Nigerians about the dangers of irregular migration and fraudulent overseas job offers. The authorities emphasize the importance of verifying employment opportunities abroad and following legal migration channels.
