Polytechnic workers oppose new NBTE service scheme
The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Polytechnics (SSANIP) has voiced strong opposition to the revised schemes of service for polytechnics introduced by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). Philip Ogunsipe, the union’s National President, stated that their concerns were formally submitted to the Minister of Education, Dr Moruf Alausa. The union argues that the new scheme creates unfair disparities between teaching and non-teaching staff.
