Oyo State announces events for 50th anniversary celebration
The Oyo State Government has revealed plans for a week-long celebration marking the 50th anniversary of the state’s creation. The programme will feature religious services, cultural exhibitions, an award and dinner night, and a public lecture. Saheed Fijabi, Chairman of the Oyo @ 50 Anniversary Committee, shared these details with journalists in Ibadan. The festivities aim to celebrate the state’s identity, resilience, and collective aspirations.
