EFCC returns over N1.28bn to Enugu after failed school project
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has handed over N1.28bn recovered from Sujimoto Luxury Construction Limited to the Enugu State Government. The recovery follows allegations of fraud and contract breach related to the construction of 22 Smart Green Schools. The EFCC launched an investigation after receiving a petition accusing the company of failing to deliver on the project despite receiving a large advance payment. The funds were officially presented to Enugu officials, with assurances that further investigations and possible prosecutions would follow.
