Trader devastated after losing goods in Lagos market fire
One of the traders at Computer Village, Ikeja, Ebere Daddymuonso, has shared his distress after losing goods worth over N150 million in a fire that destroyed the upper floor of a one-storey building. The fire broke out in the early hours, completely razing shops mainly occupied by laptop importers. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, confirmed that all goods and properties in the building were destroyed. The Iyaloja of the market, Abisola Azeez, praised emergency responders and appealed for government support for affected traders.
What happened
