
Sadio Mané wins AFCON top player award ahead of Ademola Lookman
Senegal forward Sadio Mané has been named Man of the Tournament at the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. He played a key role in helping the Teranga Lions secure their second continental title with a 1-0 victory over hosts Morocco in the final. Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman was influential for the Super Eagles but missed out on the individual honour. Other awards at the tournament included the Golden Boot for Ibrahim Díaz and Best Goalkeeper for Yassine Bounou.
