
Army stops kidnapping and rescues two people in Taraba
Troops from the 6 Brigade Nigerian Army, Sector 3 Operation WHIRL STROKE, have prevented a kidnapping and robbery along the Wukari–Ikyior Road in Taraba State. The operation led to the rescue of two victims and forced the suspects to flee the scene. The rescued individuals, Mr Terso Kerso and Mr Udongu Terbo, received immediate medical attention after being found unconscious. Brigadier General Kingsley Uwa commended the troops for their swift and professional response.

- Troops foiled a kidnapping and robbery incident on 16 January 2026 along Wukari–Ikyior Road.
- The suspects fled into the bush on seeing the troops, abandoning their victims and escaping with their motorcycle.
