
Shettima leads economic council meeting at Aso Rock
Vice President Kashim Shettima presided over the 156th National Economic Council meeting at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja. The meeting, which began at 4:17 pm local time, is the second since President Bola Tinubu directed the council to focus on rehabilitating grazing reserves into ranches. Tinubu issued this directive during a Federal Executive Council meeting held on December 10, 2025. The council is working closely with the Ministry of Livestock Development to create a roadmap for transforming Nigeria’s livestock sector.
