EU takes Nigeria off high-risk financial jurisdictions list
Nigeria has been removed from the European Union’s high-risk financial list. The European Commission confirmed that Nigeria and several other countries had improved their anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing measures. Dr Doris Uzoka-Anite called this a significant step for investor confidence. Nigerian businesses are expected to benefit from easier trade and investment flows with Europe.
