
Tanker driver arrested after fatal crash with motorcyclist in Lagos
A petrol tanker driver has been arrested after his vehicle collided with a commercial motorcycle, resulting in the deaths of both the rider and his passenger along the Epe–Ijebu Road in Lagos State. According to Adebayo Taofiq, spokesperson for the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, the motorcyclist was riding against traffic when the accident happened. The area was quickly cordoned off by LASTMA operatives, and the driver was handed over to the police for investigation. Sola Giwa, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Transportation, expressed condolences to the families and urged adherence to traffic rules.
