Policeman killed by gunmen in Benue State
A police officer, ASP Godwin Otse, was shot dead by suspected bandits along Otobi Road in Benue State. The attack happened while Otse was travelling with his brother, who reported the incident. The gunmen, reportedly dressed in army camouflage, opened fire on their vehicle. Otse was taken to a hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
What happened

- Police recovered the deceased officer’s identity card at the scene, and his body was deposited at the hospital mortuary.
