
Police rescue kidnap victim and arrest suspects in Oyo
The Oyo State Police Command has rescued a 60-year-old kidnap victim, Isiaku Saidu, in Iseyin. According to the state Police Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, the police also arrested a three-member kidnapping syndicate in Itesiwaju Local Government Area. The operations were carried out under the directive of the Commissioner of Police, Femi Haruna, to ensure the safety of lives and property. The police emphasized their commitment to prompt rescue operations and preventing ransom payments.

- The police rescued Isiaku Saidu, a 60-year-old kidnap victim, after armed hoodlums abducted him in Budo, Iseyin.

- During the rescue operation, one suspect was neutralised, another arrested, and others fled with bullet wounds.
- In a separate incident at Gelede Camp, Komu, the police rescued another victim without any ransom being paid and arrested three suspects: Kari Ibrahim, Dure Jimoh, and Abubakar Sidi.
- The police recovered six expended cartridges and assured that the arrested suspects will be charged to court after investigations.
