
Edo police arrest teenager for faking her own kidnapping
Three people were arrested in Edo State for their alleged involvement in kidnapping activities, including 18-year-old Obehi Odine who staged her own abduction to demand a N10m ransom. The police also apprehended 11 men believed to be part of a kidnapping syndicate during a bush-combing operation in Ubiaja. According to the police, several weapons and other items were recovered during these operations. The Commissioner of Police, Monday Agbonika, cautioned the public against making false kidnapping reports and urged continued support for law enforcement.
