A self-proclaimed healer, known as Mr Sinayogo, was arrested in Bamako for fraud after collecting large sums by promising Mali's win in the Africa Cup of Nations. Mr Sinayogo reportedly received donations from supporters but was detained after Mali's national team lost in the quarter finals. Police intervened when an angry crowd gathered at his home. He is currently being held at the cybercrime division.
