- The Sokoto State Police Command confirmed that two currency dealers, identified as Alhaji Ummaru and Alhaji Sani, were killed in the Durusar Gawo market attack.
- The attackers, believed to be Lakurawa bandits, opened fire on traders and stole money in both local and foreign currencies before fleeing.
- One victim died at the scene, while the second died later at Dogon Dutse Hospital.
