Police detain ten suspects in Jigawa crime crackdown
In Jigawa State, the police have arrested ten individuals suspected of involvement in armed robbery, drug trafficking, and theft. The arrests were announced by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Shi’isu Adam, following a series of coordinated operations across the state. Among those apprehended are alleged drug dealers, a wanted armed robbery suspect, and individuals connected to phone and livestock theft. The police also recovered stolen property, including a motorcycle, cows, and a camel.
What happened
- SP Shi’isu Adam stated that one wanted armed robbery suspect and nine others were arrested, with 7,028 illicit drugs seized.
- Seven suspected drug dealers or consumers were identified, including Nadabo Ibrahim, Alkassaim Sa’idu, Ibrahim Sambo, Usman Abubakar, Aminu Muhd, Yusuf Sale, and Ibrahim Ismail.
- Police recovered a stolen Jincheng motorcycle and returned it to its owner, and also found two cows suspected to have been rustled.
- Shu’aibu Musa, a wanted armed robbery suspect, was arrested in connection with a camel theft, and the stolen camel was recovered.
- In Sundimina town, Abdullahi Isyaku and Nasir Saleh were arrested for stealing and selling mobile phones and cash, with the suspects arraigned in court.
