
Police arrest brothers and accomplice over Abuja lawyer’s death
Three suspects have been arrested by the Federal Capital Territory Police Command in connection with the killing of legal practitioner Chigbo Princess. According to Police spokesperson Josephine Adeh, the suspects are linked to a notorious “one-chance” armed robbery syndicate operating in Abuja. The arrests were made after the police tracked the victim’s mobile phone and carried out targeted operations. The suspects allegedly assaulted and pushed Chigbo Princess out of a moving vehicle, resulting in her death.
What happened
- Saifullahi Yusuf, Ishau Yusuf (brothers), and Minka’ilu Jibril were arrested for their involvement in the killing of Chigbo Princess.
- The police used digital intelligence to track the victim’s phone and conducted operations between January 5 and 10, 2026, in Dei-Dei, Dakwa, and Dan-Tata communities.
- Investigations revealed that on January 5, 2026, Chigbo Princess boarded a black Volkswagen Golf 3, was threatened, assaulted, and pushed out of the moving vehicle along the Kubwa Expressway.
- The suspects sold the victim’s Android phone in Dei-Dei for ₦120,000 and shared the proceeds among themselves.
- Items recovered from the suspects include scissors, knives, a long chain, and a plier.
