Police arrest man accused of abusing minor in Bauchi
A 20-year-old man, Bilal Ya’u, has been arrested by the Bauchi State Police Command for allegedly sexually assaulting a six-year-old girl. The arrest followed a report made by the victim’s father to the police. According to the police spokesperson, Nafiu Habib, the incident took place in an uncompleted building where the suspect lured the minor. The police say investigations are ongoing and the suspect will be charged to court after completion.

- During interrogation, Bilal Ya’u confessed to the crime and revealed he had previously abused the same minor during the rainy season in 2024.
