Super Eagles set to receive AFCON bonuses after payment delays
The Federal Government has confirmed that the Super Eagles’ bonuses for the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations have cleared regulatory hurdles. Doris Uzoka-Anite, Minister of State for Finance, stated that payments would appear in the players’ accounts soon. The team had threatened to boycott travel to their quarter-final match over unpaid allowances. Shehu Dikko and other officials assured that all financial entitlements have now been resolved.
