UN urges Nigeria to step up protection for civilians and schools
The United Nations has called on the Nigerian government to take urgent action to safeguard civilians and educational institutions after a series of violent attacks in Niger State and nearby regions. Mohamed Fall, the UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Nigeria, condemned the violence and highlighted the impact on communities already facing insecurity and displacement.
