Kwara announces phased school reopening and new radio lessons
The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has directed all public and private schools in the state to reopen on Monday, January 5, 2026, except those in areas under special security measures. Dr Lawal Oloriegbe, the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, emphasized that learning activities should resume immediately in eligible areas. The ministry also introduced a radio-based learning initiative to support students beyond the classroom. The initiative is supported by UNICEF and the Nigeria Learning Passport.
