
Kano governor approves N1.47tn budget for 2026
The Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has signed the 2026 Appropriation Bill of N1.47 trillion into law. The bill was approved by the Kano State House of Assembly and is described as a milestone for Northern Nigeria. According to the Speaker, Ismail Falgore, this is the first time a budget in the region has surpassed the N1 trillion mark. The budget aims to drive development and improve living standards in Kano State.

- Abba Kabir Yusuf signed the 2026 Appropriation Bill of N1,477,829,666,131 into law during a Kano State Executive Council meeting at the Government House.
