Two arrested after Bauchi motorcyclist killed in robbery
Three to four sentences introducing the story. Sirajo Abdulhamid, a 32-year-old motorcyclist, was shot and killed during a robbery in Bauchi State. The incident happened in the presence of his wife and another female passenger. Police say the suspects were identified and arrested after an investigation led by the Bauchi State Police Command. The case has been classified as culpable homicide.
What happened
- The Bauchi State Police Command reported that on 16th December, 2025, Sirajo Abdulhamid was attacked while travelling with his wife, Asiya Sirajo, and Khadija Abdulhamid.
- Armed robbers shot Abdulhamid in the head and stole his motorcycle in the presence of the two women.
- Police, led by SP Jamilu Kabir and assisted by Danga Security and Special Hunters, responded quickly and took the victim to hospital, where he was later confirmed dead.
- Two suspects, Isah Shuaibu and Abdulsalam Shuaibu, were arrested after an identification parade where the deceased’s wife identified them as the attackers.
- The police stated that the suspects will be charged in court after the investigation is completed.
