What happened

- The tanker lost brakes after the Plateau State Specialist Hospital Roundabout and collided with five other vehicles.
- Eighteen people were involved; two male adults died on the spot, and 16 others suffered various injuries.
- The FRSC, police, army, fire service, and other agencies responded, cordoned off the area, and diverted traffic to prevent further disaster.
- The petroleum product was safely transloaded, all vehicles and obstructions were cleared, and the road was reopened by the next morning.
