Inmate empowerment grows with new skills and education in FCT
The Nigerian Correctional Service, Federal Capital Territory Command, is making strides in rehabilitating inmates through expanded skill acquisition and educational programmes. Christopher Jen has focused on enhancing training opportunities by partnering with various organisations. Donations from NGOs have enabled over 800 inmates to gain practical skills, supporting their reintegration into society. Formal education is also being prioritised, with many inmates pursuing academic qualifications.
