Medical emergencies lead Lagos incident reports, says LSCCC
The Lagos State Command and Control Centre has revealed that medical emergencies and road crashes made up most of the 11,127 emergency incidents handled in the state between January and November 2025. The disclosure was made by Femi Giwa, General Manager of the LSCCC, during a press conference in Ikeja. Other officials present included Ajijola Bashiru Rahman and Adeeso Adeyinka. The LSCCC coordinates emergency response across Lagos and manages the state’s toll-free emergency lines.
What happened
- Femi Giwa stated that the Centre recorded 11,127 emergency incidents from January to November 2025.
- Medical emergencies topped the list with 2,192 cases, followed by 2,188 road accidents.
- Fire-related incidents were reported 1,922 times, while civil disturbances accounted for 732 cases.
- Alimosho had the highest number of incidents at 1,507, with Eti-Osa and Ikeja following.
- Giwa urged residents to use the toll-free emergency numbers 767 and 112 for prompt assistance.
