Content Requirements:
Articles must cover recent events published within the last 7 days.
Articles must be about specific news events, not general topics.
Analysis or opinion pieces are not allowed.
Political commentary or posturing is not allowed. Only definitive political outcomes (bills signed into law, election results finalized, court rulings) are permitted.
Quality Standards:
Articles can be in any language.
Sources must be reliable news outlets. No tabloids, tweets, blogs, satire sites, or disreputable sources.
Sources must be viewable for free (no paywalls).
Live feeds are not allowed.
No blogspam or stolen content.
No mobile links, AMP links, URL shorteners, or redirects.
If you're affiliated with a news outlet (author, editor, employee, etc.), you cannot submit your own articles.
Submission Guidelines:
12. No duplicate stories. Updates may be allowed if significant new developments occur.
13. Titles must exactly match the article headline or opening sentence. No editorializing.
Comment Rules
Keep discussions civil and respectful. Violations result in removal and potential bans.
No unnecessarily rude or provocative comments.
No hate speech based on ethnicity, religion, gender, or identity.
No crude, vulgar comments or low-effort jokes/memes that don't contribute.
No celebrating or advocating anyone's death.
No calls for violence or destructive behavior.
No spam or repeatedly copying the same comment.
No meta comments about moderation.
General Behavior Rules
Limit submissions to 3 per hour and 5 per day.
Engage in comments—don't just drop links.
Don't primarily submit sources you're affiliated with.
Contact moderators through official channels, not private messages.
No brigading from inside or outside the forum.
No bots, scripts, or novelty accounts.
No spam, witch-hunting, or doxing.
Don't use the News tag to push an agenda.
