ShehuU sending money from Canada to Nigeria isn’t taxable by itself. CRA doesn’t tax transfers.
What matters is when income is earned.
For example now If you invest in the NGX, dividends and capital gains are taxable in Canada as long as you’re a Canadian tax resident. Nigeria may withhold tax at source, which you can usually claim as a foreign tax credit in Canada.
If the money goes into a business, the business is taxed in Nigeria. If profits are later paid to you, Canada taxes you personally.
