Akume to seek Tinubu’s approval for dedicated health sector bank
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, plans to propose a "Bank of Health" to President Bola Tinubu. The move aims to boost Nigeria’s healthcare sector with targeted financial support. The idea was first suggested by Dr Everest Okpara of Everbright Diagnostics.
"If Nigeria can have the Bank of Industry and Bank of Agriculture, then surely we can build a Bank of Health."
