
Three arrested in Lagos for dumping waste illegally
Lagos State authorities have apprehended three people for illegally dumping refuse along the Ikotun–Igando Road median. Tokunbo Wahab, the state Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, announced the arrests on June 4, 2025. The operation was carried out by the Lagos Waste Management Authority’s surveillance team as part of ongoing efforts to keep the city clean. The suspects have been handed over to the legal team for prosecution.
